Come enjoy some friendly casual games in our MyIntyre Lounge on Thursday, November 14th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Games will be provided (no need to bring anything , except maybe a friend of neighbor if you'd like) This is a great chance to get to know each other in a casual, outside of church, atmosphere. Everyone loves games (and did we mention there will be popcorn?)

Talent Show with refreshments - November 1st at 7 PM
Pine Grove is hosting a talent show with many varied acts on Saturday, November 1st at 7:00PM. We will be having the show on the stage in our gymnasium. Refreshments will be served during intermission (various baked goods and drinks) COME LAUGH ALOT!!
Family Friendly Halloween Party - October 27th at 1 PM
Calling all Goblins, Princesses and Super Heroes!
Pine Grove United Methodist Church will be hosting a Halloween event on Sunday, October 27th from 1 to 3 PM.
We will start with a “Trunk or Treat” event in our gymnasium with candy and decorated tables to view. Following this we will have some other Halloween treats including:
Pumpkin Decorating!
Create your own gift bags with choose your own goodies!
Chips and other savory snacks plus other sweet treats!
Games including Mummy Wrapping, Spider ring toss, and others!
Halloween drawings to color!
Face Painting!
Music / Dancing !
This year's party is going to be held Sunday, October 27th starting at 1 PM, and will run through 3 PM. Past years have been a blast (You can find pictures of some on our picture pages). We have all sorts of events like pumpkin painting, face painting, music and dancing, and coloring and other crafts. Oh also, did we mention, we will have many tables to trick or treat for CANDY and other treats?! Savory snacks and drinks will also be available in case your sweet tooth gets the best of you. This event is open to kids of all ages. So come and join us, whether you are in costume or not, a kid or a kid at heart, and enjoy a little Halloween cheer on us.

Please Note: We will be in our gymnasium this year. It is easiest if you park on the west side of the building (the right as you face the building from Central Avenue). You can enter the building from the glass enclosed entrance on that side halfway down the building. Look for the Halloween decorations. Once inside look for the doors directly opposite the entrance to join in the fun!

Brooks Barbecue
Come join us for a Brooks BBQ Drive-Thru Chicken Dinner !!!! Enjoy some world famous barbecue from the Oneonta based Brooks House of BBQ (https://brooksbbq.com/). You will not be disappointed you did.
Come join us Wednesday, October 2nd starting at 3 PM! This dinner WILL sell out, so please get there early! Dinner includes: 1/2 chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, roll, cookie, and bottle of water. All for just $18. Credit and debit cards are accepted. There are no pre-sale tickets. Just show up at the drive-thru, pay for your dinner, and be handed your meal! No need to get out of your car!

Presentation Series - Session 2 - Explore the Beauty and Benefit of the Honey Bee
Session two of our presentation series will be on June 12th starting at 6:30 PM and will the titled “Explore the Beauty and Benefit of the Honey Bee” and will be a presentation by the Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association who serve 9 counties in Upstate New York. Their mission is to educate beekeepers and the public.

Book Club Meeting "Holy Moments - A Handbook for the Rest of Your Life"
We've completed our first book and are taking the next two weeks off. On 5/15, we will meet to discuss "Holy Moments - A Handbook for the Rest of Your Life". We are going to read the prologue and first two sections for the first gathering.
We are also reading "The Women" by Kristin Hannah. It is a historical fiction with 464 pages. So, if interested in joining the discussion group, start reading. We'll read the entire book and meet on Wednesday, June 12th to discuss. We're deciding whether or not to continue over the summer or wait until fall and leaning toward waiting until fall. Let us know what you think.

New Presentation Series - First Session - Living with Visual Impairment
Pine Grove is beginning a series of evening presentations. The first session is going to be The Northeast Association of the Blind coming to Pine Grove to talk about living with visual impairment. They will be sending two speakers on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 pm to discuss living with visual impairment. One of the speakers will bring her service dog as well.
We hope to make these a regular offering, with various topics. Our next session will be ‘Explore the Beauty and Benefit of the Honey Bee’ with guests from the Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association.
We hope to see you at one (or more) of the sessions! They are free and open to the public.

Albany District United Women in Faith April meeting
The Albany District United Women in Faith April meeting will be held on April 6 beginning with registration check-in at 8:45 AM at the Alplaus United Methodist Church, 3 Brookside Place, Alplaus, NY. Cost is $10 per person which includes registration fee, breakfast and lunch. Breakfast, lunch of soup and dessert will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a sandwich to have with your soup.
If interested in attending or have questions, contact Shirley Hamm 518-869-3020. Check for $10 payable to 'United Women In Faith Albany District' is due to Shirley Hamm by March 28.
Book Club
Our new book club meetings will begin Wednesday April 3rd in the McIntyre Lounge at 10:00 AM. The first book is "Half Truths – God Helps Those Who Help Them- selves and Other Things the Bible Doesn't Say" by Adam Hamilton. It is available on Amazon. Please contact the church office if you plan on attending or have any questions (518-869-6281). All are welcome.
The first meeting is anticipated to last about 2 hours. Exact timing and frequency of any future meetings will be determined on April 3rd by the group.

Lenten Bible Study - Week 1
A Lenten bible study series will begin this Tuesday, February 20th at 6 pm and continue weekly via zoom. We will be delving into a profound study titled "The Third Day" a journey that promises deep insights and spiritual growth.
